Your Ship Columbus
Columbus has 775 passenger cabins including 64 de luxe balcony cabins and junior suites.
Onboard Entertainment

After a busy day ashore, many passengers look forward to starting their evening with a pre-dinner drink before making their way to the restaurant. Following dinner, the highly acclaimed entertainment team invite you to join them in the Show Lounge where they will display their talents in a glittering and colourful ‘big show’ accompanied by the ship’s live orchestra. These stylish performances are complemented with our carefully chosen speciality acts and guest entertainers to add variety to the evening entertainment on offer throughout your cruise.
Highly Acclaimed Big Shows and Cabarets
Our variety of popular cabarets are for your listening pleasure and also offer the chance to step onto the floor. And, if the night is still young, enjoy tracks from our late night DJ. If however it is quieter pleasures that you prefer, how about a liqueur and good conversation; listening to a classical interlude from our resident pianist and violinist; a few hands of cards; or making up a table for a syndicate quiz. And whenever you decide to call it a night, round off a perfect evening with a stroll on deck knowing that the welcoming haven that is your cabin is just a short walk away.
Daytime Activities
During days at sea, you may choose from a work-out in the gym; a make-over in the beauty salon; a swim in the pool or something a little less energetic in the form of curling up with a good book. Perhaps listen to a speaker or learn a new skill from one of our arts and crafts specialists. The choice is yours!

The Dining Experience

Whether you are cruising in the Baltic Sea or the Pacific Ocean it is guaranteed that nothing whets the appetite like sea air. You’ll, therefore, have even more reason to anticipate the feast of delights freshly prepared by expert chefs and served by attentive restaurant staff. Opt for a full English breakfast, savour a leisurely lunch and enjoy a sumptuous five-course dinner each and every day of your cruise.
Our carefully constructed menus present a blend of traditional cuisine and international specialities that will make your mouth water. The diet conscious will have difficulty resisting temptation and may well need a few extra turns around deck! For many of our guests, dining in the ship’s elegant restaurant is the high point of the day. Starters followed by delicious soups and light salads give way to delicious main courses ranging from appetising seafood and Italian pasta to mouth-watering steaks and traditional roasts. Finish with a tempting dessert or cheese plate, coffee or tea. Tasty vegetarian meals and healthy options are featured on every menu. And, whatever you choose to eat, you can accompany your meal with a selection from the ship’s extensive wine list.
Breakfasts and lunches are generally served in the restaurants on an open seating basis. Check the onboard Daily Programme for timings and then come when you choose. For dinner in the evening, we operate two sittings and your preference should be requested when booking your cruise. And, if you, or a member of your party, have a particular dietary requirement, then please let us know in advance so that we can meet your requirements. Please also let us know if you require a table with friends.
As a casual alternative to our formal restaurants, enjoy a more relaxed buffet-style meal served up with a complimentary ocean view! Add in the afternoon teas, late night snacks and traditional shipboard occasions such as the Captain’s Gala Dinners, and the pleasures of the table will surely tempt you from the moment you sit down to dinner on your first night aboard until that final breakfast as you prepare to disembark.
Speciality Dining
Onboard Columbus we feature more intimate speciality restaurants offering yet further dining options. Perfect for that special occasion or just to treat yourself; and why not, you’re on holiday! There is a supplementary charge for dining in the following speciality venues:
- Fusion – our journey onto Indian gastronomy – £14.90 per person supplement.
- The Grill – a choice of prime Dry Aged cuts – £24.90 per person supplement.
The ultimate dining experience
We are delighted to offer Columbus guests The Chef’s Table, an exclusive VIP multi-course dining experience, specially created and hosted by the Executive Chef.
Enjoy a private sparkling wine cocktail and canapés reception, a tour of the galley in operational mode and a splendid nine-course menu accompanied with specially selected wines. The Executive Chef remains with the guests throughout the meal, describing the ingredients and techniques used to produce each of the courses. The Chef’s Table experience can be reserved on board at an additional cost of £59.90 per person, subject to availability.
